Define

The first step is to define exactly what is to be created and why. Why does this product have to exist? Who are you creating it for? What business problems does it solve? This is a conversation (or series of conversations), often taking the form of stakeholder meetings, where product designers develop a baseline approach that aligns with the overall corporate strategy.

Research

In this phase, designers conduct research to gain a deep understanding of their users and their needs. This research helps them develop empathy for users and understand what they want from a product or service. User research and market research are essential elements of this phase. User research can take many forms, such as interviews, surveys, focus groups, and ethnographic research. Market research includes things like industry trends and competitive analysis.

Analysis & Planning

The first step is to define exactly what is to be created and why. Why does this product have to exist? Who are you creating it for? What business problems does it solve?

Design

Once you have a good understanding of your users and are planning your next steps, it's time to sketch out some ideas for how those users will interact with your UI. This is where you start thinking about things like the general layout, navigation, and specific elements of each page. The key here is to think about the user experience first. How will they interact with your interface? What information do they need to be easily found?By answering these questions, you can get a clear idea of what your user interface should look like.

Prototyping

Once you have a working UI, it's time to turn it into a working prototype. With prototyping, you can provide a more realistic experience during usability testing, which then provides more accurate feedback and insights into "what works". and "What's not working".

Testing

Before going live it is important to test the interface with real users. Usability testing helps identify areas that need improvement before the final product is released and provides feedback from the user's perspective.

Launch

Once testing is complete and any necessary changes have been made to the high-fidelity user interface, the product can be handed off to the development team for implementation.

Iteration

Once a product, be it a website, an app or any other digital product, is launched, it is not finished. The design process is a continuous loop designed to repeat as users interact with and provide feedback on the product. The goal is to continuously improve the user experience by making small changes and improvements over time. Through constant design iteration, you can be sure that your product will be useful and relevant to your target audience for many years to come.
